Retrofits
Retrofitting is typically the most economical solution for prolonging a plant's service life. It gives operators the opportunity to equip existing motors with variable-speed drives to save energy and costs while optimizing processes, and allows the replication of discontinued motors through our trusted partners. Our scope includes product-related modernization, replacements, and upgrading of units already in service, as well as stand-by products for new and existing units — though it does not usually extend to function or plant expansions, or changes to the underlying drive concept.
Benefits
Retrofitting delivers reduced maintenance costs as the equipment's lifecycle progresses, alongside increased productivity thanks to fewer downtimes, shorter idle periods, and faster processing cycles. Plants gain improved efficiency and long-term spare parts supply security, with systems upgraded to the latest technical and safety standards. The result is increased energy efficiency and better adaptation to current environmental demands, along with a reduced risk of failure overall.
